From my first years tapping out short stories on my Mom’s typewriter, to the days I won awards for an international Middle Eastern dance magazine from the Florida Magazine Association (and all the magazines, newspapers, radio and organization publications in between), I have known I’d be a writer. I wrote for Prevue Magazine for about seven years, traveling at their request to far-reaching destinations and it was their insistence that I have a blog and twitter names that my KarenKuzsel.com blog was born. Although initially to cover destinations and events for meetings and association planners, it soon expanded for the leisure industry. I cover food, wine, events, destinations, reviews etc. At least once a month, I write a hotel happenings & program promotions column covering news you should read to know about discounts, technology, places to visit, and openings & renovations of venues. I’m an active member of MPI, on the Small Business Owners Association community and write recaps of the CommuniTEA zoom sessions. Also do some writing for my local Orlando chapter and am a member of ILEA and the Society of Professional Journalists.
